Chief Raeburn has served as Deputy Chief with Richmond Hill Fire and Emergency Services since 2021, bringing strong operational, administrative and strategic leadership. With 30 years in fire services and experience as Fire Chief in Innisfil and Bradford West Gwillimbury, he is well prepared to lead RHFES into the next chapter! Richmond Hill Council appointed him following the retirement of Chief Bryan Burbidge. Named for former Mayor William Bell, this award recognizes a successful young entrepreneur who participates in the Summer Company program. Over the 2025 summer months, the 17-year-old launched and operated The Protein Pastry, offering fresh-baked, high-protein, low-calorie and naturally sweetened baked goods. Tania demonstrated exceptional entrepreneurial spirit and resilience, overcoming recipe setbacks, navigating compliance requirements and problem-solving under pressure. Her venture served numerous clients and showcased how determination and innovation can lead to real success. On October 28, Richmond Hill officially opened the Richmond Hill Cultural Centre with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Mayor David West and Members of Council. Located in a beautifully restored 1936 heritage building, the Centre is a vibrant new hub for arts, culture and community connection in the heart of the city.
