The SME Green Advancement Initiative (SGAI) is a joint effort by SEAF and bechtel.org, funded by Caterpillar Foundation and now Autodesk Foundation to empower Polish and Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and displaced professionals in the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) sector. Our mission is simple but ambitious: ➡️ Strengthen the capacity of SMEs and workers to contribute to Ukraine’s sustainable reconstruction. ➡️ Equip them with technical, financial, and management tools in a global market and ultimately finance qualifying SMEs with capital to scale. ➡️ Create new skilled jobs that support both local economies and Europe’s green transition. Through a unique partnership model, SGAI combines world-class technical and engineering expertise and SEAF’s proven enterprise development and investment approach. Together, we are building a foundation for long-term growth — helping SMEs in Poland and Ukraine become trusted suppliers, innovators, and leaders in Europe’s evolving EPC and green energy markets. This is more than a program — it’s a movement to rebuild and reimagine the future of infrastructure.
