About us
The SME Green Advancement Initiative (SGAI) is a collaborative program led by SEAF and bechtel.org, with support from the Autodesk Foundation and other corporate partners. This initiative is designed to empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) sector to become trusted subcontractors to international EPC firms by enhancing their management, technical and financial capabilities. Through SGAI, participating companies are better equipped to scale their operations and access new markets across Poland, Ukraine, and Europe. In phase II of this program, SGAI will place a strategic emphasis on strengthening the digital competencies of EPC firms, enabling them to remain competitive and innovative in a rapidly evolving industry landscape.

The SME Green Advancement Initiative (SGAI) is a joint effort by SEAF and bechtel.org, funded by Caterpillar Foundation and now Autodesk Foundation to empower Polish and Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and displaced professionals in the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) sector. Our mission is simple but ambitious: ➡️ Strengthen the capacity of SMEs and workers to contribute to Ukraine’s sustainable reconstruction. ➡️ Equip them with technical, financial, and management tools in a global market and ultimately finance qualifying SMEs with capital to scale. ➡️ Create new skilled jobs that support both local economies and Europe’s green transition. Through a unique partnership model, SGAI combines world-class technical and engineering expertise and SEAF’s proven enterprise development and investment approach.
