Tony Frazier, LeoLabs CEO and #4x24 member, provided actionable business intelligence during the Transforming Warfighting: DefenseTech Disruption panel at the Baird Defense and Government Conference. Some of Frazier's intel: • LeoLabs has built relationships with international allies. When the United States Space Force stood up in 2019, many allies stood up military space commands. LeoLabs was able to build its business around those customer segments, helping the company not only grow but become profitable. • The company has leveraged the Small Business Innovation Research program to incubate new technology. It has two SBIR Phase 2 contracts. • LeoLabs has partnered with SpaceWERX and Space Systems Command on a transition plan to help its technologies make it past the dreaded "valley of death." LeoLabs also has Strategic Funding Increase, or Stratfi, awards, which help small businesses get their technologies past the "valley of death" and into warfighter hands. • The company is using AI to help warn customers about emerging threats in low earth orbit and allow them to get ahead of the threats. There are about 10,000 active payloads in LEO while China has more than 1,100 satellites and is expected to have more than 30,000 in 10 years. #BairdDGConference2025 #WeAreBaird

  • 🎙️ LeoLabs CEO Tony Frazier recently joined SFA CEO Bill Woolf for the Space Force Association podcast to share our vision for persistent Orbital Intelligence. This includes delivering critical, innovative #DefenseTech to the warfighter — like our first expeditionary radar class, Scout — and integrating into the wider, global #SDA ecosystem. Tony also shares his career path to LeoLabs, his unique #leadership style, and why he thinks mentoring young leaders is important for the industry. Thank you, Bill and the SFA for hosting. We look forward to seeing you in December for #Spacepower!

  • For this edition of the #ORBINT, we're summarizing the United States Department of War's recent "Acquisition Transformation Strategy: Rebuilding the Arsenal of Freedom." The Strategy, created by the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Acquisition & Sustainment, outlines the new Warfighting Acquisition System (WAS) that aims to rapidly transform "our antiquated acquisition processes and revitalizing the atrophied Defense Industrial Base (DIB) by prioritizing speed, flexibility, and rigorous execution." The document states that this transformation is necessary to ensure the American warfighter has the capabilities required "to deter and, if necessary, defeat our adversaries." For commercial SSA companies, this is a welcomed strategy as the rapid integration of commercial capabilities is critical for the U.S. Government to keep pace with the growth and evolution of adversarial threats in space. At LeoLabs, we're dedicated to delivering the capabilities the warfighter needs at-speed and scale — from our multi-mission radars to our AI-enabled insights. 🔗 Full document: https://bit.ly/49H4qGw
