I'm using .NET MAUI and targeting iOS 26. I have an Entry like this:

<Entry Text="{Binding ItemQuantityInput, Mode=TwoWay}" 
       Placeholder="Enter Quantity" 
       FontSize="15" 
       Keyboard="Numeric" />

Keypad Image

On first tap, it shows the small numeric keypad. But when I tap the field again, it switches to the full keyboard with numbers(Normal Expected behavior). This happens only on iOS 26.

Is there a way to force it actually to use the small keypad, and if not can I just force the normal keyboard functionality?

  • I can't offer the answer your solution but as a workaround you can do what Chris has done to block the new IOS 26 Liquid Glass features. If this is a app in release this can give you some time while a permanent solution is found. My guess would be this is the new normal and will be forced as this all due to the new look they want. Disable IOS 26 Workaround - I have not updated or tested IOS 26 so my knowledge is null! Commented Oct 28 at 9:36
