Edmonton's Shasta Care Community recently hosted a performance by Concerts in Care Alberta to celebrate and acknowledge a donation from the Sienna for Seniors Foundation. The gift from the Foundation supports Concerts in Care Alberta's mission to deliver professional live music directly to seniors across the province. The donation will expand its reach, bringing more concerts to a greater number of Alberta's seniors. It means more joy, more connection, and more dignity. The Foundation is proud to partner with Concerts in Care Alberta and the talented musicians who share their passion by bringing these special moments directly to seniors. *𝘝𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘰 𝘣𝘺 𝘌𝘳𝘪𝘬 𝘝𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘳.

Sienna was pleased to host Ontario's Long-Term Care Minister Natalia Kusendova-Bashta at our Harmony Hills Community in Toronto as she announced the launch of new programs to attract and retain thousands of highly-skilled nurses. To bring more nurses into long-term care, three new programs will offer: mentoring, financial incentives and a pilot for students to work in the field as they work towards graduation. These investments are designed to improve the quality of care for Ontario's long-term care residents across the sector.

This ribbon is for you! 🎀 At the ribbon cutting for Northern Heights Community in North Bay, our celebration took on extra meaning as Nitin Jain, President and CEO recognized the team members and residents who have made this new home a welcoming place for all. Two incredible team members: 🎖️ Tade, Care Support Aide 🎖️ Steve, Personal Support Worker Received CEO Spot Awards for giving 110%. Both were nominated by their teams because when they’re in the community, everyone knows they’re in for a great day. Tade is known for spending extra time with residents who need comfort and for taking pride in every detail of the home he helps care for. Steve is always ready to step up, going the extra mile for anyone who needs support. We also celebrated Ray, a resident who moved from Waters Edge to Northern Heights, and who has been a true gem in helping fellow residents feel settled and encouraged as they embrace their new home. The ribbon represents new beginnings, made possible by our partners in North Bay and the ongoing support of the Ontario Government | Gouvernement de l’Ontario. #ProudToBeSienna

It's not every day we can celebrate someone's 105th birthday, but recently at our Langstaff Square Community, residents, team members, and community partners did just that. Even Mayor David West of Richmond Hill took time out of his busy schedule to drop by. Congratulations Kathleen!

More than 50 residents and caregivers from four of Sienna's communities made the trek to Toronto's Humber College to enjoy a Thanksgiving luncheon earlier this month. It was a great way to connect with fellow seniors and enjoy this annual festive celebration of the season, courtesy of the Toronto Police Service. Just like baseball's World Series, celebrities were also in attendance. Anyone notice a certain local official who happened to swing by?

Proud to be Sienna 💜 Over the past few years, we’ve been building something remarkable together. Since 2022, we’ve redefined what it means to work at Sienna. Our Purpose, Vision and Values guide everything we do, and together we bring them to life in how we show up for one another and for the residents and families we serve. Through programs like SOAR, Spark, and now SOAR for Service, we’re celebrating milestones, championing innovation, and making team members owners in our shared success. The results speak for themselves: higher engagement, stronger retention, and a deeper sense of belonging across our 15,000-member team. Every milestone, every resident story, every act of care is powered by compassion, commitment and ownership. We are Proud to be Sienna. Proud to serve. Proud to lead. Proud to cultivate happiness in daily life. #ProudToBeSienna

The Strongest Partnerships Aren’t Transactional - They are Transformational That idea was front and centre at the Ontario Long Term Care Association’s #TiLTC2025 Building Capacity Together panel. Our President and CEO Nitin Jain joined Ernie Philip, President of Medline Canada, Corporation, to explore how collaboration and a shared sense of purpose can help address some of the biggest forces shaping seniors’ care. The discussion touched on the impact of AI, the need to strengthen workforce capacity, and how the next generation of older adults will redefine expectations of aging. Moderated by Avis Favaro with Santis Health, two powerful ideas stood out: 💡 The strongest partnerships don’t start with a contract, they start with shared purpose. When organizations lead with values, they create the foundation for lasting success. 💡 The greatest supply chain isn’t made of products, it’s made of people. It’s the relationships, insight, and teamwork behind the scenes that keep seniors care strong and sustainable. When a partnership is grounded in collaboration, it builds the trust and innovation our sector needs to move confidently into the future. Thank you to everyone who joined this energizing discussion.
