Darrel joined NV5 in 2022 following the acquisition of Intrepid Engineering and has been an integral part of our team for the past three years. Throughout his career, Darrel has designed mechanical and plumbing systems for a wide range of projects, including commercial, educational, industrial, medical, automotive, and residential facilities across Nevada, California, Washington, and Arizona. His expertise spans HVAC and plumbing design, technical specifications, and compliance with Mechanical and Plumbing Codes, both Uniform and International. As a registered LEED Accredited Professional, Darrel has supported sustainable design practices and brought exceptional technical knowledge to every project. Darrel’s contributions have left a lasting impact on our clients and colleagues alike. Congratulation to our partner OZ Architecture and client South Metro Fire Rescue for their Gold Award from FIREHOUSE for the new Fire Station No. 15 in Centennial, CO. "New" Station 15 replaced the legacy station which had become functionally obsolete. In addition to squeezing a feature-packed modern fire facility into an extremely tight site, the design incorporated a number of innovative design strategies and features focused on improved response times and firefighter wellness.
