🌟 When it comes to AI in education, performance isn’t what wins hearts. We often assume that trust and technical accuracy are the main drivers of adoption. But new data suggests something different: personalization and ethical awareness are stronger predictors of whether students actually choose to use an AI tool. ❓ It’s counterintuitive. We expect that the quality of output would matter most. Instead, students are guided by how they feel while using the technology. ⚖️ As AI tools flood classrooms, this insight is critical. Building trustworthy systems still matters. But if the experience doesn’t feel intuitive and personal, students won’t stay long enough to notice. Just like any tool - ease of use trumps all in creating stickiness and perceived value. #AIinEducation #LearningDesign #AIAdoption #PersonalizedLearning #EdTech #HumanCenteredAI Original study: https://lnkd.in/ggxrQ5Ft

Artificial intelligence is reshaping education—but are our schools ready? While over 80% of students already use AI tools, fewer than 30% of schools plan to train teachers in AI literacy this year. The result? A generation of users who can operate AI but not think critically alongside it. In her insightful article, Garima Rai, CEO & Co-Founder of onlinechalk, explores how educators can bridge this gap and empower students to become ethical, adaptive thinkers in an AI-driven world. AI, Curiosity, and the Classrooms of the Future Today I had the privilege of visiting ACS International Schools, Egham for the Good Future Foundation AI Workshop — a day full of powerful conversations about how artificial intelligence is shaping learning, wellbeing, and creativity in schools. From Snapchat AI and Co-Pilot to Flint and Twinkl’s classroom bots, the discussions were honest, forward-thinking, and — most importantly — student-centred. What stood out most was the shared belief that critical thinking is the true superpower of the AI generation. Teachers and students alike are asking the right questions: “How do we use AI responsibly?” “How do we keep creativity and curiosity at the heart of learning?” The workshop explored the importance of taking a measured, transparent approach — auditing how AI is used, training staff carefully, ensuring data protection and ethics, and above all, helping young people understand how and why these tools work. The message was clear: AI shouldn’t replace thinking — it should amplify it. Huge thanks to Jane Quelch and the ACS Partnerships team for hosting such fantastic workshop. Exciting times ahead as we continue to explore how Future Skills and AI literacy can empower both educators and learners across the UK and beyond. #AIinEducation #FutureSkills #Spark2 #GoodFutureFoundation #ACSEgham #ArtificialIntelligence #EducationInnovation #DigitalLiteracy #CriticalThinking

“Shadow AI” refers to the unauthorized or unvetted use of AI tools by staff or students—apps, extensions, or chatbots being used without district oversight. While most educators are well-intentioned, this invisible layer of AI introduces serious data privacy, ethical, and instructional concerns for schools. In my latest video, I explore: ✅ What Shadow AI looks like in today’s classrooms ✅ Why principals must take it seriously ✅ Practical steps to create responsible AI policies that support innovation and safeguard students As leaders, our goal isn’t to fear AI—it’s to guide its use responsibly and prepare our students for a future where AI literacy is essential. 🎥 Watch the full discussion here: https://lnkd.in/gZyRurCA #AIinEducation #ShadowAI #K12Leadership #EducationalInnovation360 #SchoolInnovation #AIResponsibility #PrincipalLeadership #EdTech #AIEthics

I'm passionate about equipping students with crucial tech and AI skills. But there's a lot of confusion about what AI literacy really means. For example, what I see: 👉 Schools treating AI as entirely separate from existing tech education 👉 Policymakers are ignoring years of calls for comprehensive digital literacy 👉 Tech enthusiasts promoting AI without addressing ethical concerns So if you're a parent wondering how to prepare your child for an AI-driven world... Remember, teaching critical thinking and responsible tech use is more valuable than any specific AI tool. #AILiteracy #AI #FutureOfWork
