🏆 Announcing the 2025 MCCA Employer of Choice and Charlotte E. Ray Award Honorees
This year’s MCCA Gala will be a celebration of legal excellence, honoring those who expand opportunity and open doors across the profession. We are proud to announce two of our 2025 honorees: Intuit as Employer of Choice and Yolanda Sanders (she/her) Sanders, former General Counsel of Gap Inc., as the Charlotte E. Ray Award recipient.
Employer of Choice Award
This award honors corporate legal departments that set the standard for building inclusive, high-performing teams and expanding access, retention, and leadership opportunities for attorneys of all backgrounds.
Intuit exemplifies these values. From their “Stronger Together” philosophy to intentional partnerships across the legal ecosystem - including HBCUs, veterans and women’s networks, among so many others - Intuit is committed to ensuring opportunity reaches every corner of the talent pool. With more than 100 million customers around the world, they know that thriving teams build better solutions.
We also see their leadership in action across MCCA programs and the broader community. Intuit’s legal team is deeply engaged: from sharing their business and legal expertise at our convenings to participating in our professional development programs, including our current C-Suite Leadership cohort. With GC Kerry McLean’s leadership from the very top, and her presence at our Gala to accept the award, we are thrilled to celebrate Intuit this year.
Charlotte E. Ray Award
Named after the first Black woman lawyer in the United States, this award recognizes trailblazing attorneys who break barriers and open doors for others in law.
Yolanda Sanders embodies that spirit. As GC of Gap Inc., she led a global legal team serving more than 80,000 employees with vision and integrity. She championed Create For All, With All, an initiative designed to foster a culture of belonging across the company and beyond.
Beyond her corporate leadership, Yolanda has been a mentor, speaker, and active participant in efforts across the legal ecosystem to expand access and opportunity. She has consistently lifted others as she rose, making her a true embodiment of the principles Charlotte E. Ray stood for.
For more than 28 years, MCCA has worked to move the legal profession forward, and we’re proud to continue our movement for corporate counsel advancement in the years ahead. Join us in celebrating Yolanda Sanders and Intuit at the 2025 MCCA Gala on October 14 at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City – and join the movement.
