Jamil Qureshi has been our most-booked speaker in 2025. Jamil helps teams to do differently by *thinking differently*. I decided to go full Paxman on him by asking 3 questions about his busy year. Before we start, if you've not heard of Jamil, he's a performance coach who has helped six sportspeople get to world number one, and was the first ever psychologist asked to work with the European Ryder Cup team. He has subsequently worked on five other successful Ryder Cup campaigns. JV. It's been a pleasure working with you this year, you've spoken across sectors and demographics around the world for us, is there any event we have worked on that has stood out? JQ. I can't answer that! I don't have favourites. As you guys know, each event is unique. That's why matching the right speaker to the audience is essential. Lots of people speak on mindset and performance for example. Some may do so from an academic perspective, some maybe more irreverent and anecdotal. The best gigs aren't just about getting the content right, but just as much about providing the right experience. JV. What trends are you seeing currently in the speaking world? JQ. Well obviously emerging technology is the big one. But for me it will always be about people being the differentiator. People can replicate your tech, offices, products, pricing points...they can't replicate your culture. Same for you guys, AI will never match a speaker to a client's needs in the same way you understand the nuances and subtleties which goes with doing so. JV. You've done a lot of keynotes for PepTalk but you also do workshops for clients through us, do you prefer the keynotes or workshops? JQ. Variety is key! I enjoy them equally. They're a different skill. Ultimately as a speaker should leave people, thinking, feeling, or acting differently. If the format changes, it shouldn't matter. The outcome is what counts. If you'd like to find out why Jamil is such a popular keynote speaker (and a half decent middle order batsman) please get in touch and we can set up a no-obligation chat with him.
