David has one of the more unconventional paths you’ll hear from a venture leader — from skipping out on college and going into sales to running a statewide investment platform. Investors are recalibrating after a turbulent few years, and Colorado is surfacing as a hub for opportunities in hard tech, quantum, AI. Last Wednesday, we hosted Investor Night at our soon to be home, 1900 Lawrence. We heard from Chris Pearson, CEO of Agile Space Industries, who shared insights from his 25+ year journey in aerospace and the growing momentum in the in-space chemical propulsion market. Leah Garcia, Founder & CEO of NULASTIN®, also joined our CEO David Prichard on stage for a fireside chat to share more on the incredible value she's created for shareholders and what it truly means to embody Founder DNA. The week continued with a lively Paired Breakfast at HashTAG by Chef Troy Guard. It was an amazing morning connecting with our social-professional community over a great meal and energizing to see so many familiar faces and welcome so many new ones! I’m feeling incredibly inspired and energized after spending the past few days immersed in the startup community at Colorado Startup Week. At the center of what drives our startup community is this: people. Products, policy, markets, capital, etc. all matter. But it’s people who build. It’s people who make startups succeed. It’s people who inspire others and drive prosperity for the benefit of us all. So to this community of founders, let’s never forget: We build the world we intentionally create. We inhabit the world we choose to build. So let’s go build the future — and be intentional about doing it together.
