Our current food system is the leading cause of soil degradation, water pollution, deforestation and loss of wildlife. But our food doesn't need to be grown this way. Last night at the British Baker Awards, Wildfarmed was honoured with two incredible recognitions: 🏆 Bakery Brand of the Year – Wildfarmed 🏆 Sustainability Initiative of the Year – Wildfarmed Brand Launch To be celebrated alongside so many brilliant bakers, brands, and businesses shaping the future of British food is a tremendous honour and a reminder of what’s possible when practice, rigour, constant research and development are put at the heart of everything we do. Wildfarmed was built on the belief that regenerative agriculture can reshape our food system, not as a buzzword, but as a deep, measurable, and practical way to grow better food. We work closely with our farmers to improve soil health, increase biodiversity, minimise water pollution, reduce carbon and we measure that impact carefully to make sure every product retains its integrity from field to loaf. But it doesn’t stop there. We know that most people don’t want a lecture on soil microbes or worms, they just want to eat great food and trust where it comes from. That’s why we spend as much time explaining this complex, nuanced work in a clear and human way as we do perfecting our flour and bread. These awards are recognition of the collective effort it takes, from farmers to bakers, from fields to shelves, to prove that better food come from better farms - and that food and regenerative agriculture can thrive together. A huge thank you to our team, our farming community, our bakery and retail partners, and everyone helping to move the industry forward.

Out early before the heat set in, walking through our spring wheat. Growing for Wildfarmed 🌾 It’s been an incredibly dry season here—and you can really see it in the crops. 🏆 The Grocer gold awards 🏆 Looking around the room last night, we were struck by the sheer magnitude of change makers in the room, from the grocery giants to fellow accelerator brands Ordo and Bold Bean Co | B Corp™. From the outside the big grocers make it look easy, but underneath we know first hand what it takes to move a loaf of bread from field to store. From the logistics to the data providers, the sheer diversity of energy and talent that goes into getting food into our homes is incredible. That’s why last night was a moment of reflection, and whilst we didn’t bag our award (shout out to Bord Bia - The Irish Food Board the winners and our fellow nominees Global Salmon Initiative, Sinclair, Future of Food Competition, Ocado Retail, Weetabix) - we did take stock to appreciate what it’s taken to get from the shelves of Waitrose & Partners to Ocado Retail to Tesco.
