Leios has reached a new milestone. A public development tracker is now available, offering a consolidated and transparent view of global work on the protocol. Leios represents a significant step forward for Cardano’s scalability and long-term sustainability. Its journey from peer-reviewed research to active engineering reflects Cardano’s commitment to rigorous, open development. High-quality, peer-reviewed research is becoming harder to fund, yet it’s never been more important. The sustainable future of decentralized systems relies on evidence-based innovation. That’s why Input Output (IOHK) Research (IOR) continues to prioritize long-term research investment. The Core Mission: Preserving Sovereignty Blockchains introduced trust through decentralization. #Midnight extends that trust by giving users true digital ownership and verifiable control over their information, preserving your data without compromising usability. 🌙 2. Proving Without Revealing (The Power of Zero-Knowledge) Midnight enables you to meet a requirement without ever revealing the underlying sensitive data. This is the foundation of rational privacy: - Eligibility: Prove a qualification without exposing the certification. - Compliance: Validate age/status without presenting your ID. - Verification: Meet counterparty requirements without broad data exposure. 🌙 3. Closing the Web2/Web3 Gap Connecting existing enterprise workflows (Web2) with decentralized benefits (Web3) has long been the industry’s biggest adoption gap. Midnight is explicitly designed to close it.
