Big news: NV5 is now an official partner of UP42! NV5 is our first LiDAR data provider. LiDAR (which stands for Light Detection and Ranging) sensors send out light pulses, collecting the returned data in the form of point clouds, where every point contains data including longitude, latitude, and elevation. NV5 data has an accuracy of 10 cm (vertical) and 30 cm (horizontal). For all the details, check out the press release or watch the video below: https://lnkd.in/eHbx99Jx

The UP42 Documentation hub just won the Best Developer portal for Data Products Award at the 2025 DevPortal Awards! 🏆 Huge shout-out to our incredible documentation team: Daria Lutchenko, Saad Rayees, and Ciarán A.. The Best Developer Portal for Data Products Award goes to UP42 Documentation Hub! 👏 👏 You did it! Huge congrats 🙌 🏆 "The UP42 portal was seen as tackling a very challenging and complicated data set, and they set a high standard for compliance and transparency. This portal excels at treating geospatial offerings as data products, with clear provenance for both provider and processing levels, strong interpretability, and a practical, centralized catalog. Discovery and persona coverage are top‑notch, and for every API exposed, they explicitly presented the End User Licensing Agreement. This comprehensive approach to data governance and transparency directly addressed the jury’s highest concern in this category: trust. By ensuring that every data consumer provides approval and understands usage limitations, the UP42 Documentation Hub has proven itself as the clear benchmark for responsible and accountable data product management." #DevPortalAwards #DevPortalAwards2025 #TechAward #DeveloperExperience #DeveloperPortal #DataProductManagement #DataProduct #APIs #APIportal

50 cm, 30 cm, 15 cm... With satellite imagery, bigger isn't always better. A smaller number means a higher resolution. This article breaks down the different resolutions, explaining what qualifies as medium, high, and very high, and which type is best for your use case: https://lnkd.in/eZFemTgx
