Major depression is one of the most common mental health conditions affecting Ontarians as young as 13. We’ve recently updated the Major Depression quality standard and associated resources to include consideration of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) to align with the most up-to-date clinical evidence and current practices in Ontario. The updated quality standard includes: ✅a patient guide to help empower individuals, families and care partners when seeking care for major depression ✅a 2-page placemat for clinicians to use at point of care ✅technical specifications for quality indicators to monitor progress made towards improvement The updated Major Depression quality standard supports the work of the Mental Health and Addictions Centre for Excellence in building an accessible, high-quality, connected system of care for people living with major depression in Ontario. 🔗Find it here: https://ow.ly/hIF250Xr4qU .
