Yesterday, our Group CEO and Managing Director, Cynthia Scott joined Lucy Huang, Head of Australian Telco, Media & Tech Research, UBS for a fireside chat at the 2025 UBS Conference in Sydney. Cynthia highlighted what sets Zip apart - including our unique competitive advantages across both markets and the depth of our relationships with customers, merchants and partners. She also spoke about Zip’s ongoing commitment to innovation, noting the expansion of our Pay-in-Z platform in the US and the pilot of our new Pay-in-2 product. The discussion touched on emerging consumer trends and Zip’s continued focus on strong credit performance while delivering sustainable, profitable growth.

Today we announced our results for the first quarter of FY26, with record cash earnings of $62.8m up 98.1% year on year, underpinned by strong unit economics, material operating leverage and disciplined execution. We saw accelerated momentum and deepened customer engagement across both markets, reflecting the meaningful role our flexible financial solutions play in our customers’ lives. Following a strong start to the year, we have upgraded our guidance for US TTV growth to be above 40% (in USD) for the year, and reconfirmed the remainder of our target ranges as previously announced in August. Congratulations to US Zipster David Bang who recently celebrated five-tastic years at Zip! Senior Software Engineer David puts his tenure and growth down to learning from great mentors, and feeling empowered to expand his areas of expertise. “Up until recently I’d been focused on back-end engineering my whole time at Zip. However, I was able to make meaningful contributions to the internal UI used by our customer support agents. This was a huge change from my day-to-day work, but I learned a lot regarding frontend design and worked closely with engineers outside my team. In addition, a few years ago, I got the chance to own a project that would give customers a single virtual card to use anywhere online. From the initial ideas phase to the end product, I got to work with front-end engineers, product managers, and even our CFO. I’ve also been fortunate to learn from several great mentors during my time here, and I look forward to writing the next chapter of my Zipstory.”
