Why Email Platform Integrations Matter

Explore top LinkedIn content from expert professionals.

Summary

Email platform integrations matter because they connect your email system with other business tools, creating a seamless flow of information and automating tasks that would otherwise require manual effort. Integration makes it easier to keep all your data in one place, improve communication, and boost productivity across your organization.

  • Automate daily tasks: Set up integrations that automatically organize emails, extract data, and trigger follow-up actions so your team can focus on bigger projects.
  • Connect your tools: Make sure your email platform links with other platforms like your website, e-commerce store, and social channels to keep customer information consistent and avoid duplicate work.
  • Track your results: Use integrated analytics to see how your marketing efforts perform across all your connected platforms and adjust your strategy for better outcomes.

What’s the most essential tool supply chain teams use? Hint: it’s NOT Excel. It’s actually your email. When we started building our product, everyone assumed the first integration we'd tackle would be into an ERP. But it turns out that about 80% of the supplier information lives in the email inbox. Suppliers are tired of portals. They already have hundreds, if not thousands, of customers, each trying to have them use their own portals. What if someone is on vacation and you can't sign-in? What if someone forgets their credentials? Or what if only half your suppliers use your portal? You end up with fragmented data and more work to do. So, the path of least resistance turns to be exchanging information via email. A VP put it to me this way: "if it ain't in writing, it ain't official." Contracts, NDAs, proposals, quotes, tariff updates, compliance documents, certificates of analysis, insurance docs. They're all shared via email. That’s why our very first integrations were Microsoft Outlook and Gmail. Email is where procurement happens. Instead of replacing email, we are building on top of it: Customers set up dedicated emails like procurement @ company . com, or they can CC or forward conversations to it, without needing to expose their full inboxes. Mentum’s AI then automatically parses emails, classifies documents, extracts relevant data, and turns chaos into clean, actionable information. This processed data can then be sent to ERPs or we further process it to automate workflows and generate spend analytics. Teams stop wasting time sorting emails and extracting data manually and gain time to focus strategically on high leverage meetings to negotiate and get better terms. What's your biggest frustration with email in your procurement journey?

The Power of Integrations! Shensi Ding of Merge breaks down the importance of integrations for companies navigating today’s fragmented software landscape. • Integration Complexity: With companies often using 200+ software tools, seamless data syncing is essential—manual data transfers just can’t keep up. • Buyer Expectations: Today’s buyers demand products that effortlessly sync with existing tools, avoiding data silos and ensuring consistent information. • Building Partnerships: Merge has partnered with major platforms thanks to persistent networking and evangelizing the value of a unified API. • Becoming a Source of Truth: Like Salesforce, companies aspire to be essential hubs where others build around them, creating stickiness and a critical role in their tech stack.

Stop treating your digital presence like separate puzzle pieces 🤔 Let me break down why this matters for every business owner out there. Here's what most businesses are doing wrong: Website sitting alone - barely updated, just existing. Social media on autopilot - no connection to other channels. Email lists gathering dust - random newsletters when remembered. Lead generation floating separately - missing vital touchpoints. But here's what actually works in 2025: Integrated Content Flow: → Leads enter targeted email sequences → Blog post becomes social content → Social drives to landing pages → Landing pages capture leads Connected Analytics: Track customer journey across ALL platforms See which channels work together Understand real conversion paths Smart Automation: Website updates feed social automatically Email triggers based on website behavior Lead magnets align with social content The results speak for themselves: Higher conversion rates Better customer experience Clearer ROI tracking More efficient marketing spend I'm seeing businesses waste so much potential by keeping everything separate. Your website should talk to your social. Your social should feed your email list. Your email list should drive website traffic. It's all ONE ecosystem 🌱 Stop treating these as separate entities. Start seeing them as ONE powerful system. Ready to make this shift? Let's connect and talk about your digital presence. Because in 2025, integration isn't just nice to have - it's essential for growth 🔥 ___________________ I'm Sarah 👋🏼 Founder of Social Coded & we do Brand Management and Web Design for Entrepreneurs. The Benelux Klaviyo community is growing! What an honor to see so many attendees. People came from all over the Netherlands and even Belgium. With a 60%+ attendance rate, there's a lot of demand to learn, to share ideas and to connect with other like-minded people in the email marketing / automation / Klaviyo space. Let's recap the highlights of our last meetup: → Deliverability is crucial - if you end up in spam boxes it's important to segment your way back to good deliverability. There's still time before BFCM starts. → Starting with Klaviyo - even though it's a simple interface - is overwhelming to some. We covered the basics for setting up your account. Make sure you have essential flows ready: welcome, browse abandonment, cart abandonment, and a popup to capture site visitors. → Preparing for BFCM is key - If you haven't started, now is the time. Some tips: * Treat your VIPS / loyal customers differently (early access) * Increase sends during BFCM - You probably could double the emails - but be smart about it - guard deliverability. Tip ask people beforehand if they'd like to be excluded during this season. * For those bargain hunters - make sure you nail the post-purchase sequences - let them know why they should stay around. → Integrations are essential! Klaviyo research shows companies that use more than 3 integrations see better results from their marketing efforts. Some crucial integrations not to miss: * An e-commerce platform (like Shopify 😁), * A qualitative tool to gather additional input like Typeform or KnoCommerce * A return management tool like Returnless or Swap * Data tracking & attribution - Littledata, Elevar, Klar, converge or Black Crow AI * Quiz tools - Octane AI and Presidio (QuizKit) * A good service desk tool like Gorgias with Gorgias AI * consent tool to boost subscriptions - Dataships * Klaviyo integration to marketing channels like Meta, Google, Tiktok, Pinterest In November we'll have the next meetup and you're invited!
