88% of Fortune 500 companies from 1955 are gone today. Here's the adaptation lesson that could save your business: Take Netflix. It started as a DVD rental company. Today, it’s a global streaming platform that adjusts your video quality four times every second, based on bandwidth, device, and user behavior. That micro-level responsiveness isn't just tech; it’s a mindset. And it’s the exact mindset Blockbuster missed. After 15 years in pharma, I’ve seen the same pattern play out in our industry: 👉 Companies don’t fail because they lack resources. They fail because they resist change. The winners? They build adaptability into their DNA. At Invengene, we’ve made it a priority to find simple solutions to complex problems. From product development to regulatory strategy, we’ve embedded flexibility, scalability, and simplicity into how we work. ✅ When regulatory requirements evolved, we recalibrated in weeks—while competitors took months. This agility across shifting global frameworks has helped us achieve faster approvals and stronger market readiness. Here’s how we’ve built adaptability into every layer of our organization: 📍 People-first hiring: We chose diverse experiences over narrow specializations. Versatile teams adapt faster when markets shift. 📍 Flexible processes: We designed workflows that evolve. What takes others 14 sign-offs, we manage in 5, without compromising quality. 📍 Versatile products: Rather than over-optimizing a single formula, we focus on platforms that can pivot as demand shifts. When COVID disrupted global supply chains, we retooled our systems in 10 days. A larger competitor took 7 weeks. In a world that won’t stop changing, being perfect isn’t the goal. Being adaptable is. What’s the biggest blocker to adaptation in your industry?

Traditional inventory strategies rely on forecasts and bulk manufacturing, but in a world shaped by volatility and shifting demand, this approach is no longer sustainable. The combination of 3D printing and just-in-time production offers a different logic—one that values adaptability over volume and favors digital responsiveness over physical accumulation. Instead of producing and storing large quantities of finished goods, businesses can shift toward producing only what is needed, when it is needed. Digital files replace shelves filled with parts, and the ability to make rapid adjustments helps companies respond to changes without the usual delays or overhead. This evolution goes beyond technical improvement and shapes a strategic shift in how we design production systems. #Manufacturing #SupplyChain #3DPrinting #LeanProduction #BusinessStrategy

Flexible PLM-based processing of customer orders. Product customization is becoming increasingly important for manufacturers. There is less and less demand for mass-produced products from customers. The options for configuring a product are increasingly becoming a deciding factor in purchasing decisions. This applies equally to consumer and investment goods. In the case of investment goods, the focus is usually on high functional variability and application flexibility. In order for manufacturers to meet this requirement, an approach must be established that enables economical mass customization. The prerequisites for this are product modularization, parts standardization and rule-based product configuration. A high level of product variation can be achieved with a minimum of part variants. The result: fewer parts to be manufactured in higher quantities reduces costs in the engineering and logistics processes and increases the flexibility and quality of the product range. Production can take place in the phases of order-neutral (forecast-driven) parts production, in some cases also order-neutral pre-assembly and order-related (order-driven) final assembly. "Configure and assemble to order" is the appropriate manufacturing method for mass customization. In order to be able to implement these consistently, an adequate PLM integration solution is necessary. This is needed from engineering to technical sales. #PLM #ProductModularization #ProductStandardization #ProductConfiguration #ConfigureToOrder #FlexibleManufacturing #MassCustomization
