When you're running voice AI agents at scale, waiting for post-call reports to spot issues is like driving while only looking in the rearview mirror. Real-time monitoring transforms how you manage voice AI performance, letting you catch and fix problems before they impact customer experience. Traditional call center metrics were built for human agents, not AI systems handling thousands of simultaneous conversations. When your AI agent starts struggling with semantic understanding at 2 PM, waiting until tomorrow's report means hundreds of frustrated customers. Real-time monitoring changes the game: → Spot issues instantly, not hours later → Prevent escalation storms before they overwhelm human agents → Optimize confidence thresholds on the fly → Maintain consistent quality regardless of call volume Metrics that actually matter: 1. Latency: Keep response times under 500ms - beyond 1 second, customers hang up. 2. Semantic Accuracy: Track confidence scores and clarification requests in real-time. 3. Live Sentiment: Catch frustration spikes before they become escalations. Your voice AI needs a nervous system, not just a brain. Real-time monitoring is that nervous system - giving you instant feedback to maintain the quality your customers expect. Precisely what we’re solving for at Leaping AI (YC W25).

It’s easy to think the hard part is done once your LLM is deployed. But the real challenge? Keeping track of everything happening under the hood in real time. A common misconception is that you just need to monitor inputs and outputs. But here’s the thing: Most of the magic happens in between. . Imagine a system where each query passes through multiple intermediate steps before delivering the final response. Maybe the query is rewritten to improve retrieval accuracy. Or the system pulls in documents to fine-tune the answer. Each of these steps needs to be logged, tracked, and analyzed. . And this is where tools like Opik (powered by Comet) come in. Let's break it down: 1/ It's not enough to monitor just the final response. You need a complete trace from user input to system actions to final output. That means tracking every step, including the documents retrieved, actions taken, and final prompt sent to the model. 2/ You must also monitor key metrics like latency, token usage, and costs at each step. This helps you understand how efficiently your model is running and identify bottlenecks. Specialized tools, like Opik, make it easy to do all of this without intrusive changes to your code. You can hook it in quickly and start logging everything. . Here's a quick example: With Opik’s Python decorator, you can monitor inputs, outputs, and metadata with just a few lines of code. It even logs latency at each step and tracks the entire process. For more complex cases with multiple steps, Opik will automatically: - Log every action - Attach relevant metadata - Provide a detailed trace that points you to the exact step where things might’ve gone wrong No guesswork. . If you’re serious about optimizing LLM apps for production, you must know how your system performs at every level. And without specialized tools, you’ll never get the visibility needed to improve efficiency and accuracy. . Ever had a project derailed by last-minute client changes? It’s frustrating, but it doesn’t have to be. Managing multiple client projects often means dealing with constant changes. It’s inevitable really. But when clients make layout changes mid-project, the entire team has to pivot, leading to delays and added stress. So instead of being underprepared, why not be ready for it? Here’s how we managed to adapt to evolving clients needs… We faced this when one of our projects had to pivot multiple times due to major changes. The issue? Lack of clear protocols for handling revisions. What gets measured gets managed. Our team was operating on gut feelings about project progress. We realized that clearer guidelines around revisions and change requests were essential to prevent these disruptions. Here’s what worked: - Setting clear communication channels - Establishing boundaries for client changes - Implementing stronger guardrails for project revisions We also didn’t have a systematic way of tracking client pushbacks and delays. So we built a dashboard that aggregates these metrics in a transparent way. With the new dashboard, we’ve developed a powerful tool to track pushbacks, project completion, and client timelines at a glance. This allows us to act quickly and efficiently when delays happen. Now, thanks to all these protocols and our new data-driven dashboards that track project progress, we're able to identify bottlenecks in real time and keep our projects running smoothly. The takeaway? Scope creep can be avoided with solid planning, communication, and clear boundaries. Success comes from preparation, tracking, and transparent communication.

🟦 Handling site inspections in Aconex starts with thorough planning and clear communication among project stakeholders. The process typically begins by scheduling the inspection through the Aconex Mail module, ensuring all relevant parties are informed in advance. It's important to attach necessary documents like approved drawings, specifications, or inspection checklists to provide context and clarity. If your organization uses Aconex Field or custom Forms, you can create structured inspection templates tailored to the project's requirements. These forms streamline data collection and improve consistency across inspections. Assigning the inspection task formally within Aconex ensures accountability and traceability from the outset. 🟩 During the actual inspection, the Aconex Field mobile app offers powerful tools to record findings in real-time. Inspectors can take photos, add location tags, and enter comments directly from site, reducing the need for manual documentation later. Markups can be added to digital drawings to highlight issues or areas needing attention. Observations or non-conformances can be created on the spot and assigned to specific contractors or teams. Each issue is time-stamped and geo-located, adding credibility and precision to the documentation. This on-site capture ensures that no details are missed and that issues are acted upon quickly. 🟪 After the inspection, managing and resolving issues becomes the next focus. All issues logged during the inspection can be tracked through the Aconex Issues Register or Form workflow system. Project teams can monitor status updates such as “open,” “in progress,” “pending verification,” or “closed.” Responsible parties receive notifications and reminders, helping ensure timely resolution. Once corrective actions are complete, the inspector can conduct a follow-up visit to verify and update the issue status. Supporting evidence like before-and-after photos or test results can be uploaded to the issue or form. Using workflow approvals or signatures ensures formal closure and compliance. 🟨 Finally, ongoing oversight and reporting are essential for effective inspection management. Aconex offers dashboards and reporting tools to give project managers a real-time view of inspection statuses, outstanding issues, and overall site compliance. Reports can be filtered by location, trade, date, or responsible party, which helps in coordinating follow-ups and preparing for audits. Standardizing inspection forms and processes across the project ensures consistency and reduces risks. All communication, including mail threads, forms, and attachments, are stored within Aconex for full traceability. This centralized documentation supports quality assurance and makes handover and close-out much smoother. By fully utilizing Aconex tools, inspections become more efficient, transparent, and accountable. #Aconex #ConstructionTechnology #DocumentControl #SiteInspection #DocumentManagement

Real-time monitoring isn’t just a technical upgrade—it’s a mindset shift. After 25+ years in validation, temperature mapping & compliance, I've seen how small, data-driven changes can spark massive operational improvements. Here’s an insight that’s reshaped how I approach monitoring: deviations rarely happen out of nowhere. They leave breadcrumbs. And those breadcrumbs? They're in your trend reports. 💡 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀: ~ Setting up alerts that flag anomalies the moment they occur. ~ Spotting a temperature drift early—before it escalates into a product recall. ~ Analyzing months of data to uncover hidden patterns that traditional checks miss. This isn’t just theory. Monitoring systems today are capable of: - Flagging events like “spikes” or “dips” in real time. - Calculating standard deviations to detect subtle variability. - Cross-referencing multiple sensors to pinpoint inconsistencies. For example, in a recent analysis of trend data, a deviation pattern helped uncover a failing compressor—before it affected product stability. Catching it early saved thousands in potential losses. When you leverage validated systems and set smart thresholds, you're not just monitoring equipment—you’re safeguarding product quality, ensuring compliance, and driving operational efficiency. If you're navigating how to adopt or optimize continuous monitoring, let’s connect. Sometimes, a subtle shift in perspective can revolutionize your approach. 🔗 Follow me for more insights on validation, mapping & monitoring and operational excellence!

I showed a CFO how to unlock $12M in savings over a 45-minute call. Here’s what I shared. 6 months ago, I got a DM from a CFO at a $300M energy and construction EPC firm. "We’re bleeding cash on every project. I know there are margin leaks… but I can’t see where they are." This is something I hear ALL the time. 90% of infrastructure projects go over budget by 30% or more. Margins evaporate. Fast. The CFO asked: "If you were in my seat… what would you do?" So I told them exactly what I’d do 👇 🔴 The problem? The company was managing complex energy and construction projects. They had: - Change orders piling up - Vendor payment delays - Cash flow inconsistencies - No real-time financial visibility Every day, the CFO was reacting to chaos, not controlling it. ✅ My AI Playbook I told him: “You don’t need 10 consultants or a 2-year project. You need the right systems working together.” We built this 5-part AI Margin Defense System: 1️⃣ Data Consolidation - Connected all finance + project data into Snowflake - Built 1 single source of truth No more scattered spreadsheets. 2️⃣ Predictive Risk Alerts - Used nPlan to analyze thousands of past project data points - Spotted cost overrun risks before they happened We turned hindsight into foresight. 3️⃣ Real-Time Project Controls - Integrated Procore for live project + budget tracking - Automated alerts when line items drifted 2%+ from baseline This caught small problems before they became big disasters. 4️⃣ Dynamic Cash Flow Forecasting - Built live rolling forecasts in Anaplan - Predicted liquidity squeezes 60+ days in advance The CFO slept better at night. 5️⃣ Automated Reporting - Built instant dashboards - Reduced manual reporting work by 70% The finance team got time back to focus on strategy. His results? In just 6 months: - Prevented $12M in potential cost overruns - Increased project margin by 25% - Cut reaction time from weeks to hours - CFO gained full control of project financials All with a system that can be scaled company-wide. My takeaways? You can’t manage what you can’t see. AI-powered financial systems give infra CFOs the visibility + control they’ve never had before. Margins don’t erode randomly. They erode silently. Until you install early-warning systems. Ask yourself… If you’re leading finance at an infrastructure firm: 👉 Are you reacting or predicting? 👉 Do you know (today) which line items are drifting? 👉 Could you spot a $1M leak before auditors do? Want my full playbook? Comment “Control” below, I’ll DM you the full system map. Repost this if you know a CFO who needs to see this. Follow me (@LylyaTsai) for more real-world AI finance wins!
