What makes a blended learning solution truly impactful? If you're looking for inspiration, this Learning Uncut episode with Millie Law from ANZ Bank is a masterclass in business-aligned learning design. The initiative emerged from ANZ's strategic workforce planning, identifying business development as a critical capability need for their home lending specialists. The L&D team partnered closely with the business to understand both performance gaps and mindset barriers that were holding back home lending specialists from proactive customer engagement. The solution beautifully combined self-paced learning, peer workshops facilitated by respected internal coaches, and practical application with real customers. By addressing both skill development and mindset shifts around customer engagement, the program achieved sustained improvements of 20-25% in key business metrics. The success in Australia led to adaptation for New Zealand operations and integration into ANZ's core lending curriculum. What struck me most was how well-crafted this initiative was from end to end - from understanding business needs and connecting with individuals, to engaging influencers and measuring impact. It's such a thorough example of professional L&D practice. Thank you Millie for joining me to share this outstanding work that rightfully won the 2024 AITD award for best blended learning solution. Join us as we explore how the Better BD program achieved such significant outcomes. This episode is filled with useful insights to help L&D professionals create high-impact solutions. We can’t solve today’s healthcare challenges by clinging to outdated systems. If we’re serious about addressing the workforce crisis, we need to rethink how we train. That means shifting from outdated, 1:1 simulation methods to solutions that actually deliver outcomes at accessible and built around how students learn today, digitally! Simulation must extend beyond brick-and-mortar labs and reach learners wherever they are No-code tools like VRpatients give clinical educators control—enabling them to build custom scenarios that match their curriculum and clinical priorities Instead of continuing to invest millions into centralized sim centers, we should prioritize bringing affordable, high-fidelity simulation directly to students To regulators, educators, and administrators: the shift isn’t just possible—it’s already happening. Now is the time to lead it. Watch how Nightingale College is redefining the future of nursing education—with thousands of students immersed in over 20 hours VR training each semester, with a fully custom library of patient simulations that’s 100% their own. Compare that to the average BSN performing less than 12 total simulations in a four year journey. 👉 Check out the video and see what’s possible when you take training out of the lab and put it into students’ lives. #ClinicalTraining #nursing #nurse #simulation #VR #MR #XR #AI #ImmersiveLearning #HealthTechInnovation #NursingEducation #NightingaleCollege VRpatients

The future of education is hybrid, and Indian campuses are rising to the challenge. At Manav Rachna Educational Institutions, we have embraced this shift, seamlessly blending online and offline learning to empower students. With University Grants Commission (UGC)’s progressive regulations allowing 40% of program content to be delivered online, we have integrated platforms like LinkedIn Learning, NPTEL, and SWAYAM MHRD, enabling students to earn credits through industry-recognized certifications. Our online degrees, from enrollment to graduation, are designed for flexibility and global mobility. COVID taught us resilience. Today, our robust digital infrastructure, virtual classrooms, AI-driven tools, and smart learning spaces ensure engaging, high-quality education. But the real question is, how do we inspire students to truly leverage these opportunities? By embedding industry certifications and short-term upskilling courses into our curricula, we are preparing students for a dynamic, AI-driven world where learning must be continuous and contextual. At the same time, we recognize that hybrid learning is not a one-size-fits-all solution. While it offers flexibility and reach, its impact, especially on campus, depends entirely on thoughtful, well-executed implementation. Done right, it can broaden our circle of influence, enhance relevance, and increase access. That’s why we are embracing this shift with care, conviction, and strategic intent. Of course, the journey isn’t without challenges. Bridging the digital divide, safeguarding cybersecurity, and ensuring inclusive access demand ongoing focus. Yet, guided by the National Education Policy 2020, we are building campuses that are inclusive, adaptive, and future-ready. What’s your take on hybrid learning? How do you think we can make it more inclusive and impactful? #HybridLearning #Education #DigitalInclusion #NEP2020 #EdTech #Innovation

📢 New Report: Key Insights on Digital Learning in Canadian Post-Secondary Education I'm excited to share key findings from the 2024 Pan-Canadian Report on Digital Learning by Nicole Johnson at CDLRA/ACRFL ! This comprehensive report, based on surveys from Spring and Fall 2024, offers valuable insights into the current state and future trends of digital learning in Canadian post-secondary institutions. At D2L we were so excited to sponsor this research! Here are some of the key takeaways: Technology is Here to Stay: Respondents expect technology use in post-secondary education to continue increasing across all modalities, including hybrid and online learning. The most common technologies used in teaching and learning are learning management systems (LMS), online polling/quizzes, and video-based technologies. Hybrid Learning is Leading Growth: Of all learning modalities, hybrid learning is expected to grow the fastest. GenAI is on the Rise: There's a strong consensus that generative AI (GenAI) will become a normal part of post-secondary education within a few years, with many already using it for teaching activities and student learning. Future Outlook: While most respondents expect post-secondary education to be different in five years, there is an increased sense of pessimism compared to last year, stemming from concerns about funding, faculty support, and the sustainability of the current system. I encourage you to read the full report for a more in-depth understanding: https://lnkd.in/eqtDJWeV Let's discuss the implications of these findings for the future of education! #DigitalLearning #HigherEducation #EdTech #CanadianEducation #OnlineLearning #HybridLearning #GenAI #CDLRA #D2L

One of the most overlooked resources by students: MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) Let's say you're a junior marketing student who's developed an interest in entrepreneurship. You've got a great idea but need to build up your ENT knowledge to bring the idea to life. You might face one (or more) of these hurdles: • Your institution doesn't offer any ENT courses • You're looking for courses in a specific ENT niche • You can't fit any ENT courses in your graduation plan • You want to build knowledge in a low-stress setting • You can't afford to pay for additional courses MOOCs can help. Check out YouTube, Coursera, or any other site that offers MOOCs and you'll find individual lectures and even semester-long lecture series on ENT from: • Harvard • Wharton • Stanford • Berkeley • U of Virginia • Georgia Tech • U of Michigan Any many many others. Top quality lectures from some of the most insightful faculty members and industry professionals. All free to access. Students (and professionals alike) have unprecedented access to top quality self-education today. And the summer is a great time to start taking advantage of it. PS. Learning through MOOCs also gives you a great answer to interview questions like "How do you build your knowledge and skills outside of the classroom?"

🧪 Why did I create #ICS Lab? I built Labshock to support my OT SIEM Leveling Guide 1-60. There’s no existing flexible OT lab available. Testing OT products is much harder than IT systems. When I worked with testing teams, I saw how hard it was to test without proper environments: - mocking SIEM APIs - testing Windows log collection - emulating Cisco switches - handling Linux Syslog - monitoring firewalls It’s challenging to recreate real setups. 🪖 for OT, it’s 1000x harder: - you can’t just get all the components - even production hardware isn’t available for testing - do you have full Spare Parts? :) It’s expensive, lacks connectivity & is difficult to install locally. 💡 Few days ago, we launched Labshock, a free ICS lab. After 3 days of testing, many users have installed it. We’ve seen no critical bugs at all. Labshock is easy to run and works smoothly.  Many thanks to walid della, NARENDRAN, Joshua J.! 🟢 What is #Labshock? Labshock is a Virtual Lab for learning ICS and OT. It’s a versatile platform for both education and advanced OT SIEM testing. Labshock emulates real-world ICS environments, letting you:  - configuring PLC - learning ICS Networks - exploring SCADA systems - emulating multivendor PLC - pentesting & network monitoring - creating OT SIEM correlation rules - practicing Detection & Response techniques The lab’s primary focus is multi OT SIEM testing. It enables simultaneous evaluation of different #SIEM solutions in real time. 🌟 Lightweight requirements, for now you need:  [RAM] SCADA 150MB, PLC 80MB, router 1MB [CPU] Limit resources for each service individually  [HDD] As small as a single movie file or VM  I will keep it simple and light as possible. ⚙️ Why does OT lack built-in security options?  No #PLC or #SCADA logging for #OTSIEM. I plan to modify #FUXA and #OpenPLC to show it’s possible. 🛠️ What about pentesting?  No PLC emulators exist for pentesting. Labshock will help here too, teaching real-world OT/ICS skills. OT training shouldn’t cost $10k for one week of simulations and one attack like Frosty, #SANS!? :) Protecting critical infrastructure like water facilities requires accessible tools & proper education. With Labshock, today you can:  - run SCADA and interact with PLC - learn OT basics Next week, I’ll release the Engineering Station to complete the workflow from PLC programming to SCADA layout. 📻 join our Discord Server: https://lnkd.in/dwdMR9K6 Let’s make OT education accessible!  Feel free to test it and ⭐️ STAR the project: https://lnkd.in/daX_Tepw #otsiem #ot #ics #security #labshock

Can the lessons from successful hybrid work transform how we approach hybrid learning in higher education? Our latest academic article explores this compelling question. Drawing from my extensive research on hybrid working patterns since 2021, one principle stands out: "structure + program." This framework has consistently proven effective in organising hybrid work environments – and now shows promise for teaching and learning. The model is straightforward: First, establish clear "anchor days" when everyone in a department comes to campus. This creates predictability and eliminates the constant "should I go in today?" decision-making. Second, strategically map learning activities to location: - Reserve on-campus time for high-impact face-to-face interactions like tutorials and practical workshops. - Leverage remote days for lectures and independent learning activities. This approach doesn't just simplify scheduling – it optimises the learning experience by matching each activity to its ideal setting, and delivers better wellbeing outcomes for academics and students alike.
