Transcending the potential into performance with NEC Interns

1. Tell us about yourself.

I am Pratham Pundir, a 22-year-old B.Tech graduate from IMS Engineering College. My hobbies include listening to international music and binge-watching the latest series on OTT Platforms. I feel fortunate to receive an unexpected yet exciting opportunity to intern with NEC.

2. How did you get to know about NEC?

I got to know about NEC via a friend of mine who works here. After doing some research, I discovered that NEC is a reputable company that works closely with the Indian government to offer cutting-edge and creative solutions that empower the populace. The company's portfolio and ability to sustain excellence for such a long time amazed me.

3. What inspired you to join NEC?

I joined NEC because they collaborate on government initiatives and offer solutions for biometrics, facial recognition, digital government, and many innovative technologies. They have a presence in all popular fields, I thought it would be a fantastic place to develop my abilities and expertise. It offers me a head start in my career and provides me with unfathomable exposure to learn and grow.

4. How was your interview experience?

I had a great interview experience. Initially, I was anxious since I didn't know what to anticipate, but the interviewer was very composed and helped me grow more confident as the conversation continued. I gave a complete account of myself and the reasons I believe I deserved the opportunity.

5. How was your first day as NECIans?

I was quite enthusiastic. As a remote interview, it began with HR calling to brief me about the internal portals and regulations. My team also made me feel at ease while acquainting me with my duties within the team.

6. How has NEC helped in shaping you as a professional?

NEC assisted me by giving me knowledge about how to manage situations and develop strategies. I also developed experience participating in significant team meetings, which taught me the importance of time. Being part of NEC gives me the understanding to learn communication and other professional skills.

7. What do you like the most at NEC?

The healthy work environment, friendly team, and freedom complete my responsibilities and reach my objectives with original ideas. Since I joined NEC while still in college, I never felt my internship is taking a toll on my studies.

8. What's your take on the 'Work-Life Balance' at NEC?

The flexible hours and freedom to work remotely have an added advantage. The working life at NEC is very energetic and being encircled by skilled engineers motivates me. This kind of “work-life “ balance brings a higher level of success and more productivity. Additionally, maintaining a personal life with ease is worth appreciating.

9. What are the greatest takeaways from your journey at NEC?

Learning new technological abilities, time management and team spirit inspired me a lot. I feel privileged to learn new things and put them into practice. I admire how NEC keeps its employees informed about new technology by offering them training.

10. What piece of guidance will you share with your peers to join NEC for a better future?

NEC is a place to widen your horizon of knowledge and experience. They work with cutting-edge technologies, thus there are immense opportunities to grow. Be honest and seek out the things you wish to learn.
