Just a matter of time ...
Year 2021 is special for me. I am searching something for past many years. I dont know what it is. Success, popularity/fame, wealth, social approval ? I am not sure, but I am sure I am IN SEARCH of something. Now its somewhat difficult to live a normal when you dont know what you want exactly in life. The only symptom here is that you are not satisfied with daily life. This search led me to enroll myself into one of Indias popular business mentors 6 month mentor-ship. I usually dont get attracted to umpteen business coaches ads out there on social media, but this was something different. May be the person was speaking from heart and it somewhat "connected". The "feeling" of "being connected" is very nice, I am sure you must have experienced it. It shows that what you are getting attracted to you is YOUR TYPE. Anyways, so the mentorship journey begins and I got to read a self help book on importance of mindset after many many years. Last time i read a book was may be in 11th or 12th class. I used to get attracted to self help and spirituality books even then but somehow did not have maturity to understand and implement the lessons practically, so it did not have a resulting effect except that they became just another addition on the book shelf. I read the book called 80% mindset and 20% skills written by this mentor. It had many good points on mindset but only a few pages on "health mindset" impacted me immediately. The effect was so much that I got myself enrolled into a full year gym membership the very next day. I weighed 86.5 approximately on the first day of joining gym. I did not even knew my weight before that. It was a soft shock as last time i weighed i remember i was approx. 83. Anyhow, the gym journey began and I had read in the book above about the importance of having a mentor in each area of life including the gym. So i wanted to follow the book to the fullest. Luckily i found a coach in the gym who agreed to train me. I never knew i had an excellent gym just next to my society, may be because health was never a priority before this. Initial days were bit hard but I started my training with cardio followed by weight training.
I started cross trainer for 10 minutes and 1 or 2 level of resistance. Resistance of 4 used to be a big deal when my trainer used to increase it. However, with time i was doing 20 minutes with level 12 of resistance. This resulted in approx. 215 calorie burnout. Almost half of my entire workout in just one exercise. Today I am doing 16 level resistance.
The toughest exercise which i found was burpees. I am sure you will agree. It is known be be one of most effective exercises but also one of toughest. I used to give up after doing 2 burpees in the start, slowly reached 5 and today i can do 20 burpees without a break. I still remember the days when i could see my stomach coming out while being in PLANK position and it has flattened a lot since then. You will see the difference yourself once you do it consistently.
I could do a few, may be 10 jumping jacks only in the start, it went upto 25, then 50 and today i am doing 100 JJ's consistently. I even did 200 JJs without break one day. Its a very relaxing cardio between other tough cardio exercises.
Since then i have added many more exercises to my regimen like deadlift. I pulled a 60 kg and did 10 reps of same in my latest session.
Walking lunges with weight, squats with shoulder weights, treadmill, chest lift and many more.
Now why i am sharing all this and how does it connect with the title "Just a matter of time.."
I was 86.5 kgs and I am 79.3 (lowest recorded weight recently) today. I feel light, more energetic and confident. Now you will say that whats the great deal in losing only 7 kgs in 7 months. People can lose that much in only 2 months. My goal is to reach 70 kgs but i am not on a "weight loss" journey. I want to believe and actually be on building "strength", "stamina" and a "good diet" journey. Weight loss will just be a by-product of this lifestyle. And this lifestyle will be for life.

But I still think about and have doubts "will i be able to do it ?"
Then I say to myself and this answer makes me completely silent from inside and no more question arise.
I say "Its just a matter of time, just keep on doing what you have been doing each day".
I wish to extend this thought and philosophy to my other areas of life as well ..
