LinkedIn was founded on a simple idea: for anything you want to achieve professionally, there’s someone who can help…you just need to find them. Today we’re taking a big stride toward that promise with our new AI-powered people search. Describe what you need in your own words, and we’ll surface the people who can help across your network. Type it like you’d say it, for example: • “ex-coworkers who became founders in healthcare in NY” • “angels with FDA experience for an early biotech” • “Spanish-speaking school counselors in Austin focused on learning differences” From “who should I talk to?” to “here’s who can help”, it's how you can unlock opportunity on LinkedIn. It’s now live for all premium subs in U.S. and coming to all members soon. Excited for you to all to check it out! Give it a try and drop your first prompt in the comments. I’m curious what you discover…

As a Premium user, I’d be genuinely interested in understanding which prompts/searches my profile surfaced in the top results. It would be a fascinating signal for anyone thinking about how to position their professional story, and a great feedback loop for the product!

I know how to put keywords in search boxes and do not need AI interpreting a description of what I want to find and then reverse engineering it into the search it thinks I am doing. Make it optional, especially for premium accounts. The standard search works(ed) just fine for many of us. Before the 'stuck in the old ways' commentary kicks in, I've spent hours doing searches using the new AI function, attempted searches and it sucks for what I've used LI to accomplish for several years. Give me a box to type a word for specific field, allow me to choose 2nd & 3rd degree (and uncheck 1st), so that I can uncover NEW contacts, and don't make me type in my state in full for EVERY search I do, would a recent search term option be too much to ask?

Feels like you're closing the distance between intention and connection here. Searching the way we actually think should make finding the right people a lot easier. Looking forward to seeing what kind of prompts turn up!

Very excited about this!! 🔍

please can we get this semantic search inside of event invites too Tomer Cohen - right now we can't even choose via job titles, only locations, sectors etc the whole event page creation and search could use some serious TLC!

Tomer, this functionality is unique to LinkedIn and drives home the importance of using the platform to be better at your profession. It also identifies that the platform should be used far beyond a resume/cv holder into a dynamic presence that is adapting with our own careers and changes.

You cannot imagine how long I have been waiting for this... Now I just need access :) Congrats on the launch!

Such a great use of AI and the graph! Can’t wait to use this myself!

This looks great. I'd love to know if it takes into account what's on our profile, or our publications as well. Please also let me know which profile sections are taken into account by the AI search engine.

This shift from filters to conversation is game-changing for recruiters and networkers. The real power isn't just finding people—it's discovering connections we didn't know existed. Curious: will the AI understand context like "grew a startup from 10 to 100+ employees" or industry-specific jargon? Also, how does it handle underrepresented profiles that may lack keyword optimization? Excited to test this out!
