🚀 AI & Tech in Arbitration: Where Are We Headed? Had a fantastic time at "The Use of AI and Emerging Technologies in Arbitration" alongside an incredibly accomplished panel: 👏 Dan Perera & Sadhvi Mohindru (HFW) 👏 Kelly Forbes (AI Asia Pacific Institute) Our discussion covered how AI is transforming arbitration, from dispute prevention and arbitrator selection to AI-assisted drafting and legal research, as well as developments in the regulation of AI and the use of AI. At the AAA-ICDR, we’re not just talking about AI and Gen AI—we’re actively integrating it into arbitration to improve efficiency while keeping party autonomy and procedural fairness front and center. Some of the tools we’re leveraging include: 🔹 Webfile – One of the first online case management systems, now integrating AI-powered document summarization to handle complex cases faster. 🔹 ClauseBuilder & ClauseBuilder AI – Helping parties draft clear, enforceable arbitration and mediation clauses aligned with AAA-ICDR rules. 🔹 AAAi Panelist Search – An advanced arbitrator selection tool that filters candidates based on case-specific requirements. 🔹 Clearbrief – AI-powered legal research and writing assistance, but only when parties agree—reinforcing our commitment to party control. A key takeaway? For the time being, AI is a tool, not a decision-maker. It can enhance dispute resolution, but judgment, ethics, and party-driven processes remain paramount. Thank you HFW for having me, and to everyone who joined the discussion! What do you think—how should AI evolve in dispute resolution? 👇 American Arbitration Association-International Centre for Dispute Resolution® (ICDR) #Arbitrate #Mediate
