The key Strava function for me as a user and which i never see used in any marketing tools is the heatmap for specific sports. Whenever I'm somewhere new I look for rural areas on the map with lots of activity on something that looks verty (my preference). That has delivered so many incredible running experiences that would not have been possible (at least without a lot of time consuming research) pre-strava.
New Dashboards are becoming quite relevant and this is just the beginning!
AI is just getting started in the fitness and training domain. Insights AI makes available to gauge readiness, monitor performance and create personalized plans give every day athletes tools that were once the exclusive province of elite athletes.
It’s about time. I hope Anthropic will come up with some really cool art-of-the-possible use cases. Ultimately, your platform users - the athletes, will tell you what’s working, what’s not working and where things should be implemented. There is a lot of ideas and improvements with Strava if you do it right.
Are you going to actually make athlete intelligence useful? You have all this data and are dropping the ball of actually doing anything impactful with it. Adaptive training plans would be massive. Or use your route builder to suggest where to run each day that would get in mileage/vert needed.
