When organizations are rigidly locked into internal efficiency, they inevitably filter out critical signals regarding external structural shifts (like public consensus and social friction). This structural rigidity is precisely why Kodak and Nokia succumbed. Grand ambitions require complete system alignment, not just the simple summation of powerful entities.
