What’s your New Year’s Resolution? ’Tis the season for starting to reflect on your New Year’s resolution. Or in fact, it ought to be, but I’m certain that Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas parties, and of course all the Christmas preparations take up the majority of the mental capacity. So here’s a suggestion: If you haven’t read “The 5 types of Wealth” by Sahil Bloom, you should consider putting it on your wish list for Christmas. Alternatively, you can buy it and put it under the Christmas tree labelled: “To Me, From Me”. Here’s the simple why, and the connection to New Year’s resolution. "5 Types Wealth” gives you a foundational understanding of wealth beyond financial wealth. The five types of wealth are: ⌛ Time Wealth: Having the freedom and control over how you spend your time 😃 Social Wealth: Meaningful relationships, community, and a supportive social network 🧠 Mental Wealth: Inner growth, purpose, curiosity, emotional health, and inner strength 👟 Physical Wealth: Health, bodily vitality, and physical well-being 💰 Financial Wealth: Money, financial stability, and economic resources What’s even more important is that the book is a practical and inspirational guide to each of these types of wealth. Some of the suggestions are fairly straightforward like “get your sleep” (please note, I don’t say it’s easy), while other suggestions require significant effort and change of behaviour. I guess that’s the whole point of New Year’s resolutions. The book is also way too much, as you would need to be an über-human if you were to do everything which is mentioned in the book. I haven’t decided on my resolution for next year yet, but I’m in the game of breaking habits, and I like experimenting and building streaks, and there are plenty of improvement opportunities, at least for me. Enjoy reading, and feel free to share your resolutions and engage. Happy weekend to all of you. #streak11
