Help us identify missing Canadian soldiers. The Casualty Identification Program works to identify Canadian service members who went missing during the First World War, the Second World War, or the Conflict in Korea. This process requires meticulous research. Historians must verify details such as age and birthplace because service records are not always accurate. Pte Thomas Carrick, Pte Chris Railton Lockyer, Pte Thomas Lenton Edwards, and Pte George Covert are among those still missing from the Battle of Hill 70 in August 1917. Each came from a small Ontario town, and each volunteered for service before turning 18. If you are related to these soldiers, or any Canadian missing in action, please register your information with the Casualty Identification Program: https://lnkd.in/eA3fvCBm
Such important and meaningful work. Identifying missing soldiers honours their sacrifice and brings long-awaited answers to families and communities.
