We’re delighted to announce that Amberside Advisors has been appointed to provide assurance services on £3bn Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme (HARP). The landmark scheme, whose financial close was announced in August 2025, will see the full refurbishment of the 110-kilometre Haweswater Aqueduct - the first major infrastructure project to be delivered under Ofwat’s new Direct Procurement for Customers (DPC) model. “Amberside Advisors team is delighted to have been selected to deliver the high-quality assurance services essential to proving the DPC concept in practice. We recognise that the essential upgrade of the UK’s infrastructure needs new delivery models, and our prior experience in project finance models combined with our assurance capabilities made us a natural partner for an appointment agreed jointly by United Utilities, and Cascade Infrastructure Ltd.” commented Neil Rutledge, Director at Amberside Advisors. Welcome to HARP, Amberside Advisors. We look forward to working alongside you as part of the wider team, ensuring that collaboration across all parties remains strong, transparent and aligned with the long-term objectives of this important infrastructure project.
Great job, everyone - and what a beautiful part of the country to be working on. Happy to organise an Insight Hour episode so we can all hear more about it when the work is complete.
Critical role!
