- [Instructor] If there is some text that you write in your documents over and over again, you might be able to save some time with one of the features that Word has for inserting automatic text. We'll start with a feature called Quick Parts, which is a Windows-only feature at the time of this recording. You see I've already written out some text, a name and an address that I want to add to lots of documents in the future. To make a shortcut for this text, I'll need to select it, then go to the Insert ribbon, and then go to the section labeled Text, click this button to open up the Quick Part menu, and I need to choose the option to save the text that I have selected to the Quick Part Gallery. Now, you should make sure that you have a good name for it and that it's being saved in the Quick Parts Gallery. Then click OK, and that has been saved.
