Use Snap Layouts to position windows
- [Narrator] The snap layouts feature helps you position windows precisely on the screen. In the start menu, go to settings, to the system category, then to multitasking. Confirm that snap windows is turned on. Then you can close settings. Drag a window to the left or right edge of the screen and let go, and that window will fill half of the screen. If you have any other windows open you can choose which one you want to fill the other half of the screen. Drag the dividing line in between to change the ratio of the split. You can reset by dragging a window to the middle of the screen and it will change back to normal window size. You can drag a window to one of the corners to have it fill only a quarter of the screen. And once again, you can reset by dragging your windows to the middle or drag a window to the top edge of the screen, and you can choose a custom split layout. You can also position windows with a keyboard command. Hold the windows key and press one of the arrow keys to position the active window.
