- [Instructor] I believe it's a misconception that gear makes the photographers. Most photographers would probably agree with me on that. Don't get me wrong, expensive and advanced equipment can yield amazing results, but you can take great pictures with the camera you have, just by using what you're learning here. It's not the gear you have, it's what you do with it that makes photo magic. That said, getting to know the ins and outs of any creative tool you're using is important, and cameras are no exception. I want your camera to feel like your creative ally. Keep in mind, that you don't have to learn everything all at once. I want to encourage you to tackle little bits and pieces as you need them, and that's the beauty of the mobile phone. It can be as simple or as technical as you want it to be.
