Viewports and how they work
- The designer application comes with a number of view ports that we are going to be spending a lot of time in. And so being able to navigate quickly and efficiently in each of them will mean that we will be able to concentrate more fully on the important task of material creation. Now, the view that we will spend most of our time navigating in, will most likely be the graph view, which we can see has a grid pattern ready for us to start adding the building blocks of our textures and materials. Now we can use the middle mouse button to truck across the graph view, and also the scroll wheel, if we move this up and down to zoom in and out. If we click to select one of the pre-created nodes and press the F key, we can quickly focus in on it. And if we then click in some empty space on the graph to deselected it and press the F key again, well, we can set the view to encompass all nodes in the graph. We also have the focus and zoom…
