Adding VAV connectors
- [Instructor] With the VAV created and categorized mechanical equipment, we can now start adding connectors. So under families, let's go open, browse through keeping your exercise files, go to chapter four. It's like 0402 VAV connectors. Click open. Now, we can stay in a 3D view, I suppose. Let's add a big duct connector here. So go to the create tab, go to duct connector. We'll place it on a face. So go ahead and select the face here. Excellent. Let's go to the front elevation. Select your duct connector. The shape's rectangular. For the height, click associate family parameter. Let's go supply duct height, click OK. For the width, associate family parameter, supply duct width, click OK. Now, let's go back to a 3D view. Select the connector again. Let's scroll down. Flow configuration, let's put it on system. Flow direction, it's flowing out. System classification, supply air. Don't worry about the loss method. For the flow, you could put in 250 CFM, but go ahead and associate that…
