Long is the list of podcasters who've set up their podcast hosting, published their episodes, and then couldn't figure out why their episodes weren't available on Apple Podcasts or other popular podcast apps. Let's learn why connecting your RSS feed to podcast directories is crucial and how to set each one up. Podcast players and apps pull their information from podcast directories. Once you have your hosting setup, you need to get your show listed in these podcast directories, major ones like Apple, Google, and Spotify, and many smaller ones, or your podcast will not be found or listened to by the public. Follow these steps to list your podcast in the major directories. Please be aware, though, that the user interfaces for these services change often, and the instructions that follow are meant as a general guide.
