Exploring audio channel configuration
In this chapter, we're going to be focusing entirely on the audio to make sure our program is sounding its best. We'll start the conversation by going over some properties of audio channel configuration and the way things work in Premiere Pro. All right, so in my 6.1 bin, I have a few clips and a few sequences. I'm going to start by loading this music clip, and this is a professionally mixed stereo clip. It was created with two channels of audio in which the sounds and instruments are playing at different levels within the left and the right channel. It's mixed this way to make the music sound its best. So as I play this, I want you to take a look at the way the audio waveform looks and look at the view meters over here to see that the left and the right channels have different levels. And I'll zoom in so you can see the differences in the audio waveform. All right, so hopefully you saw the nuances between the left and the right channel there. Let's edit this into a sequence now.
