Color and gradient fill layers are an excellent way to create a hand-colored look to an image. And while we could use the colorize neural filter, which uses artificial intelligence and machine learning in order to automate the colorization process, by making our own selections and using the color fill and gradient fill layers, we'll have the control that we need to achieve the exact results that we want. Now this document might look like it's in grayscale, but if we look here at the title bar, we can see it is in RGB. Likewise, if I went to image mode and then went to RGB, we can see that indeed, this is a color image, it just looks like it's in grayscale. And it's going to need to be in color because we need to add color to it. I'm gonna start with the object selection tool, and I want to select all of the walnuts, not the individual walnuts.
