Creating cinemagraphs

To create a Cinemagraph where one portion of a video is in motion while the rest of the image stays still, we're going to use an image of a river. I'll choose open and then navigate to the animations folder and then open the river.mp4. That will automatically open the timeline and in the layers panel we can see there is a new video group with the video inside of it. Now before we play this video we're going to want to mute the audio. So on the right side of the video clip, we'll click on the arrow, choose the music notes, and then choose to mute the audio. All right, in order to play this video, we can click on the play button. We can see it play within Photoshop. Probably we don't need it so long, so let's hit that button again or tap the space bar in order to stop that. and I'm just going to trim the video by dragging on the end of it and bringing it towards, let's say about, I don't know, 10 seconds or so.
