Creating custom brushes and symmetrical brush strokes

After making modifications to an existing brush preset or creating a custom brush of our own, we'll want to save those changes as a new brush in order to reuse it in the future. In addition, we're going to play a little bit with the different paint symmetry options. So we'll start by editing a brush preset and saving it as a new brush. In the dry media brushes, I'll start with the Ultimate Pastel Palooza and I'll just click and drag out a brush stroke. All right, let's move to brush settings to make some modifications. I'm gonna use the scattering options to add a slight scatter to the brush, and I'll also enable the wet edges. Now when we make our paint strokes, they're going to look quite different from the original. I'm also gonna make some changes in the options bar, so I'll change the mode to darken, And let's change the opacity to say around 55%. Then I'll go ahead and paint again.
