Shooting low light with your phone
- [Instructor] When working in low light with a modern SLR or mirrorless camera, you can get some spectacular results, results that film photographers of old could never have dreamed of. Here you can see just the crazy light sensitivity that I get from a high-quality digital camera. I've captured the Milky Way, but I'm also getting this rock face just off ambient light that's in the scene, which is amazing. These images are remarkably free of noise, even in the shadow areas where there's still lots of detail, and they're also capable of pulling fantastic color out of situations that to the naked eye are just dark. So there's a lot you can do in low light and at night with your modern digital SLR or mirrorless camera, but of course, we're all carrying phones at the same time. So how do those work in low light?
