- [Instructor] There are two different ways you can think about using chat in a Teams meeting. You can use the meeting chat, which is essentially a group chat. The chat pane is fired up by clicking the show conversation button here at the top, and this is my meeting chat, and when I'm chatting here, my chat is with everyone in the meeting. Now in this case, it's just Charles and I, but if there were other people in the meeting, if Griffin was here as well and Rob, then all of them would be participating in this chat. So this is where we do something global, like, "Glad to see everyone's here and ready." That goes to everyone right here, and anyone else can respond in exactly the same way. So this is the simple way that the meeting chat works. If you wish, you have some other tools for chat. You have some formatting buttons so that you can bold, underline, italics.
