Managing app service plans
- [Instructor] In this lecture we're going to look at some of the more advanced features and configuration options within web apps and app service plans. The first thing I'm going to look at is DNS. So at the moment I have an existing web app here, but it's URL is bdh webapp.azurewebsites.net. If I browse to it, we can see we're loading up a page, but I might want that on a domain name of my own, perhaps bretthargreaves.co.uk. So the first thing we need to do is in the settings of our web app, we can go to custom domains and in here we can add a custom domain. The first step is to simply click add custom domain, or we can buy an app service domain. So app service domains are basically domain names that you can purchase within Azure itself and that integrate quite neatly with Azure services such as web apps. But I'm going to go to add custom domain because I've already got an existing domain. So the first thing I need to do is tell it that the domain to provider is not app service…
