Count nonblank cells with COUNTA

Count nonblank cells with COUNTA

- [Instructor] The COUNTA function counts the number of cells within a range that contain any value at all. It returns the number of non-empty cells. This is different than the COUNT function that only counts cells that have numbers or date and time values. This is a way that these students have been approved for the photography class. Their presence has all been recorded in different ways. Equal sign CountA and we'll select the range. Close the parentheses and there's our value. I can do this using lowercase, that's perfectly fine, too. This is an easy way to tell us how many students signed up for each class.
