- [Instructor] You can perform an in-place upgrade from Windows Update if you're running Windows 10, and if the option is still available to you for Microsoft. I'll open Windows Update on my Windows 10 virtual machine to show you the window. Here's Windows Update Settings. As you can see, Windows Update is up to date. I can check for updates if I want to, or I can check hardware requirements to see if this PC is ready for Windows 11. Because I don't see the option here to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11, I'll have to perform the update from the installation files. You learned how to get the installation files in a previous movie. I've done that and I've stored the files in the Downloads folder. Here are my files for Windows 11. To upgrade, all I have to do is double-click, and follow the prompts. When you perform an upgrade, installation is a lot easier, and a lot shorter than performing a clean installation.…
