- [Joli] There are several types of accounts you can create and use with Windows 11 on a non-domain network. You can create a local account which is an account that's only valid on the local machine. Any personalizations you make with this account don't follow you would you log onto another computer. You can also create a Microsoft account for either a child or an adult. Personalizations you make here are stored in the Cloud and are applied to any computer you log into using that account. Another type of account is work or school. You might have one of these accounts if you sign in with Office 365 or other Microsoft services to access school or company resources. To create accounts and settings, click Start, Settings, and then Accounts. What you see here depends on what kind of account you're logged in with.
