- [Presenter] In this movie, we'll take a look at using patterns and styles in Photoshop. Let's start with patterns. It's easy to create a layer filled with a pattern, just go to the patterns panel and open a pattern set, like trees here and then drag and drop one of the patterns onto the canvas. In the layers panel, you can see this created a pattern fill layer and you can double click the thumbnail to adjust the settings, things like angle and scale. To replace the pattern, just click a different one and I think I like that one, so I'll stick with that. Now let's make our text more readable and interesting by formatting it with a layer style. I'll target the text layer and choose window, styles and in the panel I'll go to one of the groups, like natural and click on some of the styles here and they get applied to my text. So you can see it's very easy to experiment with different looks, I'll go with Bark. In the layers panel, I can see all the effects that the bark style is composed…
