Overview of operating cash flow cycles

- [Instructor] Operating Cash Flow Cycle. In this session, we have several objectives. The first is to break down working capital to understand what it is and analyze the various accounts that make it up. Then, we'll look at the working capital cycle, which relates to cash flow conversion from when a company has cash going out to when a company has cash coming back in. After that, we'll perform some actual cash flow analysis in Excel, looking at an example of how a company's cash flow cycle works. Then, we will look at the objectives of working capital. We'll understand why companies have the policies that they do for working capital accounts and what they hope to get out of their working capital. Then, we can look at optimization, including areas for improvement and finding ways to maximize the operating cash flow of a business.
