Overcome the most common sales data challenges
- [Instructor] When you analyze your sales data, you may notice it's incomplete, inconsistent, or filled with duplicates. Don't worry, you're not alone. In the real world, almost every salesperson encounters these challenges. In this lesson, I'll walk you through the most common sales data problems and show you how to solve them. The first challenge is incomplete data. You might see missing customer names, absent contact information, like geolocation or phone numbers, blank revenue fields, or skipped dates. This often happens when data is entered manually, imported from sources with mismatched formats, or collected through forms that don't require all fields. To fix this, start by identifying blanks, using filters or conditional formatting. Then decide whether you can fill them in or flag them for follow up. Second is inconsistent naming.
