Solution: Restore an EC2 instance
(upbeat music) - [Instructor] In the EC2 console, on the left-hand menu, under Images, click on AMIs. Click on the AMI you want to restore, and then click on the Launch instance from AMI button. For name, I used awsdemo3. And for the instance type, I made sure that this is launching as a t3.micro. And then for the key pair, I selected the key pair that we already created. Under Network settings, I did click Edit, and I changed the availability zone to one I'm not currently using. But if you are restoring the server, you might want to restore it to the same availability zone as the other server. For the security group, I clicked Select existing security group, and I selected launch-wizard-1 again. Then I clicked on the Launch instance button. I clicked on the Instances breadcrumb, and I hit refresh to watch this server come up. If this was a real server failure, your other instance might still be running, but maybe…
