Walls for conceptual massing - Archicad Tutorial
From the course: Archicad: Architectural Design Techniques
Walls for conceptual massing
- ARCHICAD walls are an important part in the development of our conceptual design massing, as they enclose the form and are necessary for adding openings or doors and windows. To simplify the placement of walls for conceptual design, we will place the walls using our magic wand function: Spacebar And describe its reference line to the outer edge of the slab which is already modeled. Locking the wall height to corresponding story levels will then give us the freedom to fine tune story heights as required with the walls automatically adjusting. Select the wall tool. Go into its settings in the info box. We're going to link to the stories, we first need to understand which story we're placing it to but plus one is generally the option that we want to choose. Then we need to make sure that this says zero so that we're locking it in. We want our basic option, solid fill and for thickness we'll adjust this to be 300 mm…
